Cole Brown is an author, producer, and political commentator. His first book, Greyboy: Finding Blackness in a White World was a finalist for an NAACP Image Award and selected for Steph Curry’s “Underrated” book club. His first co-authored book, First Impressions, written with first Black Bachelor Matt James, was released in May ’22. His anthology collection, Black Love Letters, was published in October 2023 from John Legend’s Get Lifted Books. Cole's opinion writing appears in GQ, WMag, CNN, NBC, the Sydney Morning Herald, and others.
Cole was formerly an on-air political for the ABC, Australia's national broadcaster, and led nationwide coverage for watershed moments like the 2020 Election and the storming of the Capitol on January 6th.
Cole is the Creator and Executive Producer of Magic City: An American Fantasy, a docuseries focused on the famed Atlanta strip club, produced alongside Drake's DreamCrew Entertainment and Jermaine Dupri. The series premiered at SXSW '24 and will have its network premiere in Spring '25.
Cole holds a B.A. from Georgetown University, an MBA from Columbia University, and is a Forbes 30 Under 30 Honoree in Media. He lives in New York working on various literary and film projects.
